Flying High – Our Private Plane Ride & Aerial Photos Of Florida's Beaches

While growing up in Korea, I would frequently dream about flying. This superpower would usually make itself useful in sticky situations – like if monsters were chasing me up and down aisles of a big marketplace or something silly like that. Just at an arms reach from the monster, I would close my eyes, think of flying, and float up gently like a balloon to swiftly make a narrow escape. A nightmare turned into an all-night flight fest, I loved having those dreams.

When I would tell people about flying dreams, Korean adults would shake their head and tell me that this was a sure sign that I would be short forever. Apparently, falling dreams were better, as this was a precursor to a soon-to-happen growth spurt. I'm pretty sure this is just a Korean superstition but [hey, you never know] I turned out to be a shortie. Haha!

Not a cloud in the sky and the sun shining bright, our pilot friend flew us to the coast of Florida and back. It was a glorious morning.

It's always good to have friends in high places – literally.

"alligator heaven"
"a fork in the road"
"lines and curves"

This may be my favorite photo from the flight. I kept thinking, as we flew over trees, lakes, homes that everything looks so small and doll-like.
BTW, the Atlantic Ocean is on the left and the Intracoastal Waterway is on the right

"80ies Kodak Mansions"
Ponce De Leon Inlet Lighthouse & the shell shaped Disappearing Island
The Atlantic Ocean is on the right with inland river-ways on the left
acres and acres of solar panels
we even flew over our neighborhood

It's almost Memorial Day Weekend, where we have an opportunity to gather together to honor and remember those who have passed away while serving in the armed forces. Thank you to all who have sacrificed for our country.

Wishing you all a BEAUTY-Full Day!

xoxo
