Goodbeing's Natural Subscription Box – February's Special Delivery

UPDATE [5.29.2019] – The Goodbeing Box as a monthly subscription has been discontinued since April 2019. Although this subscription box is no longer being offered, the products from this month's box are still available in the clean beauty marketplace. I hope you enjoy these photos and reviews!

Hi Friends!

How is your skin faring this winter?

The weather here in Central Florida bumped up to the low 80s a couple times this week and the humidity spiked to 80% as well. The sun is shining, with a slight cool breeze, and it feels more like a tropical island here but I'm not complaining!

I'm back with another unboxing and review of Goodbeing's Natural Subscription box for the month of February.

Here are the five products that were included in my personalized February box [from left to right] –

Suntegrity – Impeccable Skin – Moisturizing Face Sunscreen
HAN Skincare Cosmetics – Multi Stick
Sadebaron –Body Mist in Autumn
Delia Organics – Dose of C Serum
ULIV – Golden Glow Facial Souffle

Suntegrity – Impeccable Skin – Moisturizing Face Sunscreen SPF 30

My thoughts? Let's just say that I've added Suntegrity's Impeccable Skin to my wishlist. [wink!]

I'll definitely be sharing more details on this product once I have the full size in hand but this single tube has covered my daily needs for three products, all in one – moisturizer, sunscreen, and foundation. That's what I call, "triple threat!" I've known about the Suntegrity brand for a while now and when I was given the opportunity to choose this mini sample tube for my February Goodbeing box, I jumped on it!

Suntegrity is a "holistic, mineral sun care line to help people avoid skin cancer." And they have a wide range of self care products to protect our skin from the sun's UVA/UVB rays. Many of their products rate very low on the EWG's toxicity scale and their formulations are free of "Silicones, Oils, Parabens, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, Mineral Oils, Synthetic Dyes, Sulfates, Paba, Nano-Particles & Chemical UV Absorbers."

The Impeccable Skin in the shade SAND is slightly too dark for my skin but I have to say, as a foundation, this product performs excellently! It has medium coverage – much more than Beautycounter's SPF 20 Dew Skin, or W3ll People's SPF 30 Bio Tint – that lasts almost all day. It doesn't feel oily, like several zinc based facial sunscreens I've tried, but does leave my skin looking dewy, glowing, and healthy.

I had no problems with cakiness when reapplying this product for a boost of SPF protection throughout the day and I found that both cream based and powder based blush and bronzers could be worn on top of this foundation without the base layer moving around.

Ingredients: 15% Zinc-Oxide (non-nano), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Purified Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, C13-15 Alkane, Glycerin, Lauroyl Lysine, Polyglyceryl-2 Oleate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tocopherol, Kappaphycus Alvarezii Extract, Caesalpinia Spinosa Fruit Extract, Melanin, Bisabolol, Hyaluronic Acid, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Phospholipids, Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate, Sodium Chloride, Propylene Carbonate, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Titanium Dioxide (C.I.77891), Iron Oxides (C.I.77492, C.I. 77491, C.I.77499)

HAN Skincare Cosmetics – Multi Stick

I've been already using and loving HAN Skincare Cosmetic's powder bronzer in Malibu and, boy, was I pleasantly surprised when I found their newly released multi-stick in my Goodbeing Box! I received the lighter of the two shades, Rose Dust.

I recently shared about make-up as skincare and talked about several clean cream products that not only beautify your skin on the surface but also condition/nourish the skin throughout the day. Well, I have another one to add to that list and here are the reasons why.

HAN's Multi Stick:
is 100% natural
is formulated with ingredients that are nourishing to the skin like shea butter & argan oil
is in an easy to use, stick form
in shade Rose Dust, is a classic pink, versatile enough to flatter many skin tones
is easy to apply, blends well into the skin without any splotching, and wears off gracefully as the day goes on
costs less than $20 per stick

Simplified List of Ingredients: Shea Butter, Cupuacu Butter, Argan Oil, Acai Oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Candelilla Wax, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Carrot Root Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Extract, May Contain: Mica, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide.

Sadebaron –Body Mist in Autumn

This is the second time I've received a Sade Baron product from Goodbeing's subscription box. The first was a body lotion that I still carry around in my purse to use as emergency hand lotion and this time was their Autumn Mist.

There's nothing on the actual product cover that indicates where to spritz this mist so I've been using this as a multipurpose refresher for my face and body. It's formulated with all plant based ingredients, "Free of Paraben, Synthetic Fragrance, Dye, Colourant, Soy, Gluten or Animal By-product."

The Autumn Mist, as you may have suspected, has a grounding, woodsy scent and feels cooling to the skin. Aloe vera distilled water and witch hazel are two of the top ingredients, both of which are soothing and calming to the skin.

Simplified List of Ingredients: Distilled Water, Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera Juice, Benzyl Alcohol & Salicylic Acid & Glycerin & Sorbic Acid, Grapeseed Extract , Polysorbate 20, Pink Grapefruit , Myrrh, Sweet Birch, Sandalwood, Elemi, Sea Bay Laurel, Cedarwood , Coipaiba Balsan

Uliv – Golden Glow Facial Souffle

Uliv is another brand that I've been wanting to try and so I happily choose this "souffle" to be included in my box for this month. "Golden" "Glow" "Souffle"... don't you just love the name of this facial moisturizer? Yum, it sounds good enough to eat!

Something that you'll notice right away is the strong smell. It smells sweetly of freshly baked apple pie with a hint of earthy cinnamon and a warm turmeric. It reminds me of thanksgiving desserts with woody notes. I'm personally a fan of the smell but I just wanted to give you a heads up in case fall-inspired-scents are not your thing.

The texture of this face lotion is lightly creamy and easily glides onto the skin. Even though it's formulated with skin conditioning natural and essential oils, it doesn't feel oily on the skin at all. The Golden Glow Facial Souffle layers well underneath sunscreen and foundation and has been working well as a skin primer in my morning routine.

Just look at this impressive list of skin nourishing ingredients. Many of these are organic by the way:

  • Aloe vera leaf juice
  • Green tea leaf extract
  • Sea kelp extract
  • Sea buckthorn oil
  • Manuka honey
  • Turmeric oil
  • Ginger oil
  • Hyaluronic acid
  • Coenzyme q10

And here's a description of the Facial Souffle from Uliv's website: "This potent anti-inflammatory formula renews and repairs cells to reduce the appearance of age spots, uneven skin tone, and wrinkles, creating an immediate and lasting vibrant glow, while permanently reversing signs of sun damage." Sounds like a winner to me! Their facial moisturizer has piqued my curiosity for their skincare collection.

By the way, Uliv stands for How You Live. Cool, right?

Delia Organics – Dose of C Serum

*Disclaimer* This serum has been formulated with several ingredients with higher toxicity levels – Sodium Hydroxide & Phenoxyethanol.

Slightly gel-like in texture and quickly absorbent, this colorless and odorless serum uses hyaluronic acid to retain moisture and Vitamin C, and to infuse the skin with antioxidants to slow down signs of aging.

Parting Thoughts

The exciting and yet intimidating factor of subscribing and committing to a monthly box is partly the fear of the unknown, right? As I share my monthly reviews with you, I hope you've been getting a better sense of what to expect in Goodbeing's Subscription Box.

In the four months of experiencing Goodbeing, I've had the opportunity to try a handful of clean companies – ranging from some that were indie brands and completely new to me, to a few that I had heard about and was wanting to try, and even several brands I already use and enjoy. Personally, it's been a fun way to be introduced to a wide range of companies and their products and I hope to continue sharing about Goodbeing in the future.

Please let me know if you have any clean, green, organic subscription boxes that you already love and recommend I try!

Wishing you a BEAUTY-Full Day!
